How Sean Hannity destroyed the United States.

Of no fault of his own Sean Hannity has brought the country to its' knees. He did what he does best, in fact, he did the only thing he does well at all.

Like a pit bull with his teeth sunk in flesh and jaws locked, Sean Hannity bit into the hate bone and he couldn't let go. At first he enjoyed the taste of hatred and you could see the saliva pouring out of his jaws as he bit harder and harder. He started talking about Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers about the same time Obama announced he was running for president. He howled to the top of his lungs at the main stream media (Fox being far away from main stream) to investigate his associations. Finally the media gave in and Jeremiah Wright became the biggest of all news stories and the albatross around Obama's neck that would surely bring him down... so he thought, but something happened on the way to destroying Obama's chances; Obama addressed the country about racial issues and did such an effective job that Sean Hannity wanted to run from the bite wound that he created. Unfortunately, by the time he decided to let go it was to late to realize the flesh of hatred is diseased and contagious. Long after every other decent program ceased talking about Jeremiah Wright, Sean Hannity ran hour long specials on his personal platform of hate (Fox) He couldn't understand why after only 3 weeks, two speeches and a very public breakup, the main stream media stopped talking about Wright.
Unfazed Hannity continued to do no other reporting for the next 5 weeks unless it was related to Jeremiah Wright. (I wonder if he still got paid)
Fast forward a few months, Obama's surging against McCain and Hannity is completely rabid by this time. He knew no other language than William Ayers. Why hadn't the media investigated William the unrepentent terrorist Ayres. Once again the media entertained his howling and William Ayers became the top story... for about a hour. The country wasn't interested in hearing it and it fell mostly of deaf ears, but for a few radicals.
The McCain campaign heard it, bit in and immediately caught the fever. For a few weeks Hannity was king of the world. John McCain was calling Obama secretive; Palin was calling him a terrorists and at McCain rallies Obama was called a traitor. Hannity couldn't have been prouder, everything was as he thought it should be and then...it happened. Objective America looked at the McCain campaign and rejected the lynch mob mentality outright. Shouts of kill him and traitor, wasn't the United States we aspired to be, it was the United States of the past we were ashamed to see resurfacing.
